Mercedes-Benz Coupe
The blend of concave and convex lines gives this coupe its distinctive sporty look. It made its U.S. debut at California's Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance last month. The interior features an instrument panel upholstered in white nubuck leather, and a fan module embedded in the center console for rear-seat passengers. The air vents in the instrument panel change color according to the temperature set by occupants.

Why do all the car designers these days keep shrinking the windows down to little slits to peer through? When are we going back to cars with windows that we can, you know, see out of? Dumbest thing I've ever seen.

Coupes have 2 doors, not 4. Thanks for playing.

To clarify, this is the vehicle that Mercedes-Benz is calling its "Concept Style Coupe." The company did not provide a reason for the name or inclusion of four doors. However, many companies are now producing "four-door coupes," which feature a coupe look in back.

Believe it or not, the smaller windows on new cars are a safety feature. Higher door sills allow more space for crush zones and anti-intrusion bars to protect occupants against side impacts. They also reduce the amount of area that side curtain airbags have to cover making those easier to package and less expensive. Finally the multi adjustable seat is there to help put your head in the optimal spot to see out., and the Mercedes probably will remember where the owner of each key likes their seat and will automatically return it there.

To me, that profile pick resembles a Lexus in the back, a cross between a BMW / Infiniti in the front and the side looks like a Hyundai.
Irregardless of what MB release says and what car marketing tries to push, a 4 door is a sedan, a 2 door is a coupe.

OK, but 1) it looks terrible - it makes a car look like it was designed by a child, cartoonish really, 2) I want to be able to see well up, down, and all-around in every direction, and 3) I want to maximize the amount of natural sunlight let it - it's good for the spirit.

I must be getting old, but in the '60s and I think into the early '70s, there were plenty of 4 door "coupes" - no pillars between the front and rear doors. My folks even had a 1963 Chrysler New Delux station wagon coupe - 413 ci, dual quads, over 400HP - a real GTO, 442, and Mustang eater.
