Charging app
Owners of the Ford Focus Electric can use the MyFord Mobile iPhone app to check the state of their charge and enable a value-charging mode. It can also be used to find public charging stations and plan multi-destination routes via voice commands. The app will also work with the C-Max Energi and Fusion Energi plug-in hybrids when they are released.

Hydrogen filler
Shell has opened a new demonstration hydrogen station in Newport Beach, Calif. It's the company's fourth in the region. The station provides gasoline, as well as hydrogen for the state's 200 fuel-cell cars. Shell expects about a dozen drivers to fill their tanks each day at the site's two pumps, which will be open 24 hours a day. Fuel-cell drivers will have personal access codes to use the dispensers.
