Ford Fusion to be made in the USA; NW drivers feeling polite

U.S. to manufacture the Ford Fusion
Ford is adding 1,200 workers to a Flat Rock, Mich., factory to build the Fusion, a sign of confidence that the revamped sedan will be a big hit when the 2013 version (pictured) goes on sale this fall. The company will also invest $555 million in new equipment at the 25-year-old plant to make the Fusion. Ford has made Fusions only in Mexico until now. Labor contracts passed in 2007 and 2011 lowered Ford's U.S. costs, and the company promised to move some production from Mexico to the U.S.

Pemco: NW drivers reduce aggression
As summer fades in the Northwest, so do drivers' tempers, says a poll from Pemco Insurance. The Seattle-based insurer reports that drivers see fewer aggressive behaviors from fellow motorists, and that the drivers say they drive less aggressively now than they have in years past. Six out of 10 drivers in Washington and Oregon say they didn't exhibit a single aggressive behavior over the span of a month, according to the poll. Overall, Washington driver aggression is down 6 points on the polite-driving index.
