Visteon e-Bee
Representing Visteon Corporation's vision of mobility in 2020, this concept car was on display at the Consumer Electronics Show last week. Displays can be customized for the region, owner and user, in line with Visteon's focus on alternative uses for the car, including car sharing and short-term rental. The climate system has been moved out of the cabin and into the trunk to maximize space for the driver and passengers. In place of traditional rear-view mirrors, a display shows images from a panamorphic 180-degree rear-view camera. The e-Bee is compatible with electric vehicle and hybrid platforms. Recyclable expanded polypropylene material is used to reduce the vehicle's weight.
