Electric luxury
General Motors will begin production later this year of the Cadillac ELR (shown), a sedan featuring the first application of GM's Extended Range Electric Vehicle technology by a luxury automotive brand. The anticipated range for the plug-in sedan would be in excess of 300 miles, and complete recharging would take about 4.5 hours using a 240-volt outlet.
