L.A. leads for worst traffic; Seattle 8th
Los Angeles has the worst traffic in the nation, according to a new report, with Seattle coming in eighth. L.A. beat out Honolulu for jam leader in the 2012 scorecard from traffic-information firm INRIX. The scorecard says the average L.A. driver spent 59 hours sitting in traffic last year, or about 2.5 days. That's nine hours more than drivers in Honolulu. San Francisco was in third place for congestion, followed by Austin, Texas, New York and Bridgeport, Conn. San Jose, Calif., was in seventh place, followed by Seattle, Washington, D.C., and Boston.

Coolest police cars? It's gotta be Dubai
Seems Dubai police have a thing for Italian speed: The department recently unveiled a nearly $550,000 Lamborghini Aventador (shown), and it's making preparations for a nearly $250,000 Ferrari to join its fleet. Dubai plans to have the two supercars roll through tourist zones in yet another expression of the city's endless pursuit of glitz. Next up: Police say they are working on converting classic American Camaro muscle cars into a fleet of squad cars.
