Electric bikes race

Electric motorcycles raced for the first time at Indianapolis Motor Speedway last week for the FIM eRoadRacing World Cup in Indiana. A Brammo Empulse (shown) won the eight-lap race. Zero S bikes also raced. Brammo team manager Brian Wismann says, "This is the world center of racing and this is new technology, new racing, exciting racing. It only makes sense for it to be here."

F-150 is part rice

The 2014 Ford F-150 (shown) now uses rice hulls as a sustainable material. The hulls reinforce plastic used in an electrical harness. Other eco-friendly materials in F-Series trucks include soybeans and recycled cotton.
