Kia hamsters and Soul transformed; Toyota gets in on Bumbershoot fun



Kia's hamsters reflect Soul's transformation
Kia's hamsters have a new look, which debuted in a commercial during the MTV Video Music Awards last Sunday. The advertising mascots have slimmed down and slicked back their hair to introduce the 2014 Soul as part of the "Totally Transformed" campaign. The Soul chassis has been updated to be longer and wider, allowing for more passenger and cargo room. Promo spots featuring the hamsters and Soul will begin today on more than 33,000 movie screens nationwide.

Toyota shows musical side at Bumbershoot
As a sponsor of this weekend's Bumbershoot at Seattle Center, Toyota will have two booths to entertain festivalgoers. Its Hybrid House Party at the Fisher Plaza will offer visitors a silk-screen tote bag and cooling bandana, plus a Prius plug-in charging station to recharge phones. Its Soundwave tent next to the Fountain Lawn will have performances and a recording studio inside of a Toyota vehicle for music fans to create their own mixes. The festival begins at 11 a.m. daily Saturday through Monday.
