A more direct link to recall info; Mercedes at top of Ideal Vehicles

Feds to make recall info easier to access
Automakers and motorcycle manufacturers will be required to provide consumers way to search recall information free online using vehicle identification numbers by the time a new federal regulation takes effect next August. General Motors, Ford and Chrysler already offer a VIN search option, but starting next year, they and other manufacturers will be required to link to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration site for recall information.
