Look for oil leak in free class; Ford invests $685M in Canadian plant

Free workshops offer oil-leak inspections
Drivers can learn basic car care and get an oil-leak inspection during free workshops through December by the Washington State Department of Ecology. In addition to the inspection, the classes, valued at $125, will cover how to check basic car-care systems, vital fluids, belts, hoses and filters. The upcoming locations and dates:
Shoreline Community College on Oct. 3, 10, 17 and 24, Nov. 7, 14 and 21 and Dec. 5, 12 and 19
West Seattle High School Automotive Center on Oct. 5 and 19 and Nov. 2
Renton Technical College on Oct. 5 and 19, Nov. 2 and 16 and Dec. 7
South Seattle Community College on Oct. 19, Nov. 16 and Dec. 14.

Ford's Canadian plant to get $685M update

Ford plans to spend $685 million to upgrade its Canadian assembly plant in Oakville, Ontario. The facility will get an upgrade to its body shop and a restructuring of its architectures for the Ford Edge and Lincoln MKX. The updates will be completed in the second half of 2014.
