OWNERS:
Doug and Robin Meek, Granite Falls
OCCUPATIONS: Retired (Doug); computer-industry worker (Robin)
CAR'S MAKE AND MODEL: 1967 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu
Doug says: "I LOVE MY CAR BECAUSE ... it was born the year I graduated from high school. I'm a Chevy man, and Chevelle is my favorite style. I've owned it since the mid-'80s. A friend and I rebuilt it with our own hands from parts we found in local junkyards. In July 2011, my wife and I drove it from Granite Falls to the 50th anniversary of the Vintage Chevrolet Club of America's national meet, held in Detroit. But that's another story."
