Lexus saves CT 200h debut for China show
While a flurry of new car models are being paraded this week at auto shows in Los Angeles and Tokyo, Toyota's luxury brand Lexus is using the week's other big auto show in China to unveil the latest version of its CT 200h. This four-door hatchback hybrid is positioned as a sporty luxury compact. The 2014 model is the first major update since it was launched in China in 2011. Changes are mostly cosmetic to give the car a fresher look. Lexus said it chose to launch the car at the Guangzhou show in southern China as a sign of its commitment to the country.

AAA: Fewer expected to travel over holiday

AAA projects that 43.4 million Americans will drive 50 miles or more from home during the Thanksgiving holiday weekend, a decrease of 1.5 percent from the 44 million people who traveled last year. The Wednesday before Thanksgiving will be the busiest single day of travel, with 37 percent of travelers departing for trips. AAA Chief Operating Officer Marshall L. Doney says, "For those traveling, the good news is motorists will receive a holiday bonus in the form of lower gas prices, which are at their lowest levels for the holiday since 2010."
