Volkswagen Beetle Dune
Volkswagen bills this concept as a 21st century version of the Baja Bug, a modified Beetle, popular in the 1960s, that can handle off-road conditions. The Dune, based on the high-performance Beetle R-Line, debuted at the Detroit auto show this month. In front, the Dune gets a new hood with a raised center section and air vents. Outside the trunk lid, drivers can mount skis or snowboards. The interior has a dashboard painted the same color as the outside, and the seats are stitched with the exterior color as well. No price or date for production has been announced.
