Toyota tops global sales; Subaru showcases hybrid at Seattle garden show

Toyota leads sales for second year in a row
Toyota remained the world's top-selling automaker for a second year in a row in 2013 and set an ambitious target to sell more than 10 million vehicles this year. That would mark a milestone as no automaker has ever topped annual worldwide sales of 10 million. Toyota says it sold a record 9.98 million vehicles worldwide last year, up 2 percent from the previous year.

Subaru plants hybrid at the garden show

Subaru will feature the 2014 XV Crosstrek Hybrid (shown) at the Northwest Flower & Garden Show, which starts Wednesday and continues through Feb. 9 at the Washington State Convention Center. As a sponsor of the show, Subaru will showcase the Crosstrek in a garden display on the Skybridge. The car will also be featured in the South Lobby, where the "The New Age of Camping — Foraging in Nature's Garden" display lets showgoers check out the car and charge their mobile devices for free.
