OWNER: Todd Fitch, SeaTac
OCCUPATION: School-bus mechanic
CAR'S MAKE AND MODEL: 1989 Nissan S-Cargo
"I LOVE MY CAR BECAUSE ... it makes people smile. I was aware of the Nissan S-Cargo and Pao from reading magazine articles about them when they were new [and only sold in Japan]. Because Canada had much less strict import laws regarding used cars from other countries, lots of S-Cargos were shipped there when they were 15 years old. Once I knew there were some in B.C., it was a matter of waiting the other 10 years before I could import one, as the U.S. rules say a car must be 25 years old to be imported. On Jan. 5 of this year, I went and got it."
