LAPD adds electric bike
The Los Angeles Police Department recently added a Zero MMX motorcycle to its patrol fleet. After testing different brands of electric bikes, the LAPD chose the Zero for its stealth, low cost of operation and minimal environmental impact.

GM to boost solar power
General Motors is adding 3 acres of new solar arrays at two of its Michigan facilities to increase solar power at its plants. The ground-mounted solar arrays are expected to generate a combined 400,000 kilowatt hours of renewable energy each year. They will be completed this fall.
